Beers of the week for February , 2022

Our Bottlecraft North Park manager, Gene, selects his favorite beers of the week. You can stay up to date on our beer shop favorites through our news feed and also through our Instagram.

  1. Almanac | Love IPA | Hazy IPA, 7%

Love is a universal constant, and also a year-round hazy IPA with a rotating hop-bill from Almanac in the Bay Area. Sometimes the simplest message is also the best one!

  2. Humble Forager | Fishing with Horus | Imperial Stout, 13%
A good collaboration – like a healthy relationship – requires mutual respect and a certain shared worldview. Wisconsin’s Humble Forager and local Oceanside-based brewer Kyle Harrop (who works under the nom de bière HORUS) clearly possess these qualities for one another, if the text on the can gives any indication. This dense and multifarious stout is stuffed with hazelnuts, coconuts, maple syrup and Mostra coffee.

  3. Allagash | My One & Only | Fruited Sour Ale, 5.5%

Allagash consistently brews outstanding barrel-aged sour beers, making new releases in their cork-and-cage series a must-order. Extending the romance-themed naming conventions utilized recently (see: Heart of Hearts), My One & Only is a sour red ale aged in foeders with raspberries, plums and a plum-cherry hybrid fruit called a “pluerry”. I guess “chum” was taken as a word? Too platonic?
